It all started because I had a desire to get a better understanding of my family's heritage and wanted to learn the family trade. They were leather workers, otherwise known as cobblers. When my great grandfather and his family settled in Eastport Maine, he opened a small shop, formerly known as Flaherty Shoe Reparing. So I went on to learn my family's trade and want to produce quality goods that reflect that level of craftsmanship.
